Your thoughts matter
Do you ever wake up and have a thought that makes you feel a little down and before you know it, several hours later, you feel so sad and full of negativity?
I have.
This is because the thoughts you have, the ones you give time and energy to, attract other thoughts that are alike.
Whether you are vibrating at a low level or a high level, your vibration will attract like thoughts.
A fleeting thought may not make such a big difference, but the thought you have that you spend a few minutes on will attract another like thought, and so on…and momentum is built and before you know it you are in a very low place.
Can you shift out of it? Yes definitely! But once your thoughts build momentum and the negative thoughts are perpetuated, it is not so easy to shift.
The best way to change your vibration is when you wake up in the morning. After sleeping, and not thinking, there is more of a reset. You can start fresh in the morning with positive thoughts. Being conscious of any thoughts that bring you down and not giving them time and energy. Allowing yourself to shift to a better feeling though right away.
Maybe this sounds like hard work for you? You’re not alone! Many of us are programmed to focus on what is not working, what is missing, what doesn’t feel good. Rather than what is good.
You have the opportunity to change this pattern and habit. By consciously being aware when you wake up every day of the direction of your thoughts and spending your energy on the ones that feel good.
After doing this daily for a few months a new pattern will develop where you more easily look for and focus on the positive.
So when you wake up and think about what your partner did or said yesterday and how you handled it and start overthinking, catch yourself. Stop right there! Ask yourself…Does it serve you to overthink yesterday? What is the direction this thought pattern is taking you? Is there a positive thought you can shift to, one that feels good?
You deserve to feel good. You deserve to feel joy. And when you have thoughts that are constantly making you feel otherwise, remember that you have the power to change them. You have the power to feel joy and happiness in your life.
