Do you have moment to moment awareness?

On this journey of growth I have learned that getting stuck is an opportunity to halt a pattern that may not be beneficial.

Getting stuck can be from holding on to something that is negative.  Of course you probably don’t want to hold the negative experience close to you but it can continue to hold your energy when you overthink it, create a story around it, or resist it.  Holding on to this energy can keep you stuck from moving forward because it prevents you from being present in the moment and allowing life to unfold around you.

For example maybe someone close to you mentions something that triggers you and brings up a past wound.  Rather than repeating the same story you told yourself in the past that is furthering your pain, let it go.

Getting stuck can also be from holding on to something that is positive.  This too can prevent you from living in the moment because you are holding on to something that already happened.  It’s in the past and not currently happening.  It can also be a scarcity mindset…wanting to hold tight to something good because you subconsciously fear that if you don’t you won’t experience something else just as good or better.

For example maybe you had a very wonderful experience…definitely go ahead and enjoy it and allow all those good feelings to come.  But don’t hold on tight to this one experience and start overthinking it or creating a story.

Holding on tight to anything that has already happened is a pattern that will keep you stuck in reliving the past and prevent you from allowing joyful experiences to unfold in your life.
