Have More Peace, Purpose, and Joy
Go from feeling hopelessness, fear, overwhelm, and exhaustion
To feeling empowered and effective
Let's be honest. Having a teen or adult child who is at physical risk due to mental illness and/or addiction can be a harrowing experience for a parent. It can feel like you will never be able to feel at ease and naturally happy again. And this is the problem.
I'd like to show you another way. A path to reconnecting with your natural sources of physical and emotional wellness.
When you do this, you will experience new waves of love, compassion, patience, and creativity for helping your child. This will enhance your ability to communicate with them more effectively and create a stronger bond, even if it seems impossible now.
When you have been worrying about your teen/adult child's safety and future for so long, you run out of resources and become exhausted. My unique process will give you more power, love, understanding, and more skill to help your teen or adult child, while also giving you better quality of life. You will gain greater resilience, creativity, patience, and effectiveness regarding your child's situaiton while also your own well-being and health.
I know that trying to help a teen or adult child who is struggling can be nerve-racking. So many parents spend sleepless nights in fear about where their child may be and what dangers they may be exposed to. This is something that few other parents understand - and this can leave you feeling isolated and misunderstood.
On the other hand, this situation can be so all-consuming that even when your child is in a more stable phase, or making progress, you can't let go of your fear and apprehension. You are constantly waiting for "the other shoe to drop."
This back-and-forth experience is exhausting and probably taking a major toll on your sleep, your health, your other relationships, and your sense of well-being. It may also be eroding at some of the emotional resources you need right now, such as having enough patience and belief in yourself that you are doing your best as a parent. And if you have other children who need you, you need to save some of yourself for them.
When you are on the roller coaster of frequent crises and visits to the emergency room, it's also easy to forget an all-important truth - YOU also need to be well. YOU also need to be healthy. In fact, when you are able to foster a healthier emotional state and life habits for yourself, everybody will benefit, including your child.
I've been there myself. I understand it. I've lived it, and I now help my clients through this journey. And I want to tell you that there is another way. I would like to share with you my unique coaching process where I can show you how you can regain your natural emotional resilience, your self-love and self-respect, and find more peace and purpose in your life. You'll learn how to break free of the daily fears that are holding you back.
I will also show you how to become a more healthy, happy, peaceful parent, while being just as responsible, vigilant, caring, and devoted as you are right now.
There are better ways to navigate this situation so that you can continue to be the resource your family needs you to be - while improving the quality of your life.
If any of this resonates with you, I want to let you know about a special coaching session I have available for you. It's called the Warrior Parent Process. In this session I would love to learn about you, and show you how to navigate your journey so that instead of feeling unsupported and isolated you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel. You'll be encouraged, uplifted, and advised by someone who understands your situation.
This Warrior Parent Process is a free coaching session which I offer to people who are trying to help a teen or adult child who is struggling with mental illness and/or addiction. There is no obligation in coaching with me - I just want to understand you and to assist.
I hope to meet you for a free session! Just use the link at the bottom of the page to connect with me.
How is coaching different than therapy?
Psychotherapy and counseling generally work within a medical framework: identifying and diagnosing dysfunctions and prescribing treatment. Coaching starts with you, now, and how to take practical steps to make progress towards the goals, relationships, and experience you want. It begins with the belief that the solutions that the client wants are available to them right now, and greater well-being and happiness comes from the ability to take smart and creative actions in life. Coaching is not meant to replace psychotherapy - it is a distinct practical approach to supporting clients in the decisions and actions that will support their goals, relationships and fulfillment in life.
